On October 20th, The Washington Business Journal (WBJ) announced that Spartan Medical Inc. had ranked 10th on their list of the Fastest Growing Companies in the greater Washington D.C. region. WBJ, the capital region’s go-to source for business news, compiled their list based on a survey of 2,300 companies in the region. In a departure from years past, 2022’s list comprised 50 businesses rather than the usual 75, making the contest even more difficult.
Requirements for placing on the list specified that companies be privately held, independent, locally headquartered, and experience revenue growth for two years in a row, with a $2 million minimum in 2019 and $10 million in 2021. Given the context of a period of supply chain woes, labor shortages, and the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s list is even more impressive and we share our congratulations with everyone who placed.
“We’re thrilled to have our reliability and dependability validated through receiving this ranking.”
We are particularly elated because our placement reflects the strength of our relationships with our clients and partners amid a massive restructuring of our company. Our ability to make the pivot from traditional medical device supply into the landscape of COVID-19 was made possible by the trust we received from our industry network. The nearly 300% growth that we experienced throughout this shift is a signifier of our capacity to deliver on the promises we make, even when the territory is new.
“There was a level of trust that was created with Vince Proffitt, Spartan Medical’s President, and the rest of the management team that got us through the time of uncertainties,” said Andri Purkanto of BrightStar Care, a premier national provider of home healthcare solutions and premium medical staffing services. We partnered with BrightStar in the beginning of the pandemic, and our collaboration allowed us to provide COVID-19 testing and vaccination solutions to local and state governments, K-12 schools, colleges and universities, non-profit organizations, and private institutions.
Collaboration is the key to our success, so we are incredibly appreciative of the confidence that has been placed in our company as we continue to evolve. We like to think that the good faith extended to us is a reflection of the enduring commitment we have to our clients, and we look forward to the many new synergistic partnerships with other businesses and entrepreneurs.
Forbes Butterfield, CEO of SURE Retractors Inc and Spartan Medical® partner said, “Working with the Spartan Medical® team is a pleasure as they always deliver on our agreed objectives. Their contacts are second to none, especially in the VA and DoD markets; their responsiveness is fantastic, which can be a major source of frustration when trying to launch a product in the US.” He added, “Spartans do business the right way because they care about what they do, and reputations take years to build but seconds to destroy.”
It’s been an astounding period of growth for our company, and we’re thrilled to have our reliability and dependability validated through receiving this ranking. Thank you to our incredible customers who have put their trust in us! We credit our growth with your confidence in our team and eagerly anticipate what the future holds.
