The COVID-19 testing site in downtown Pflugerville will soon be expanding its hours.

The free coronavirus testing site at 103 N. Railroad Ave. will now be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. The new hours will go into effect Monday.

The change in hours comes after the Texas Division of Emergency Management contracted with a new vendor, Spartan Medical®, for the Pflugerville test site, according to a news release from Austin Public Health.

The site had been operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 6 p.m.

Individuals wishing to sign up for a test at the downtown Pflugerville test site will still be required to make an appointment. Individuals do not need to be Pflugerville residents or have symptoms in order to receive a test.

Appointments can be scheduled by visiting texas.spartancovidtesting.com to reserve a spot. Test results will be available three to five days after testing. Individuals will receive an automated text or email when their results are available. Those with questions about their results can call the Spartan Medical® call center at 1-888-998-3568.
