Single-use Sterile Implants

Spartan Medical has expanded its single-use, sterile portfolio of surgical convenience kits to address orthopedic and trauma procedures at Military Treatment Facilities in the United States, OUS, and forward operations, as well as VA Medical Centers (VAMCs) and Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). Providing single-use, sterile instruments, implants, and medical devices in pre-packaged, off-the-shelf (OTS) kits, eliminates the need to re-sterilize instruments, improves operating room (OR) efficiencies/workflow, and reduces the potential for Surgical Site Infections (SSIs). NOTE: The majority of SSIs result from contaminated surgical instruments and implantsⁱ

Malleolar 4.0 Cannulated Screw System Surgical Convenience Kits

The Sterile Pre-packaged Malleolar 4.0 Cannulated Screw System Surgical Convenience Kits are designed to be used for universal fixation of bone fractures, bone reconstruction, and other orthopedic and trauma surgical procedures. Available in two sizes, the cannulated screws have a low-profile spherical underside and T15 hexalobe screw head. The screw is self-tapping, has a 1/3 partial thread, and reverse-cutting flutes for enhanced fracture fixation.

These single-use, sterile convenience kits have all the necessary components needed for surgery in a sterile, ready to use, off-the-shelf (OTF) configuration. For more information watch the Malleolar 4.0 demonstration video.

Straight Fibula Plating System Surgical Convenience Kit

The sterile, single-use Straight Fibula Plating System Surgical Convenience Kit is designed to be used for universal fixation of long bone fractures, bone reconstruction, and other orthopedic and trauma surgical procedures. Rounded plate with smooth edges lessens soft tissue irritation while slots enable flexibility for plate positioning and compression. NOTE: Threaded holes are designed to accommodate locking screws.

Included in each kit is a six (6) hole plate and ten (10) low-profile, 3.5mm self-tapping, fully threaded, cortical screws available in 12mm, 14mm, 16mm, 18mm and 22mm lengths(2 of each size). In addition, a 2.8mm/3.5mm double ended drill guide and drill bit are provided with a solid T15 screwdriver and small depth gauge.

Straight Compression Plating System Surgical Convenience Kit

The sterile, single-use Straight Compression Plating System Surgical Convenience Kits are designed to be used for universal fixation of long bone fractures, bone reconstruction, and other orthopedic and trauma surgical procedures. Rounded plate with smooth edges lessens soft tissue irritation while a protruding boss design elevates the plate for reduced contact. Plates are available in both 6-hole and 8-hole configurations;K-wire holes offer provisional fixation, and slots enable plate positioning and compression. NOTE: Threaded holes are designed to accommodate locking screws.

Included in each kit is a compression plate and ten (10) low-profile, 3.5mm self-tapping, fully threaded, cortical screws available in 12mm, 14mm, 16mm, 18mm and 22mm lengths(2 of each size). In addition, a 2.8mm/3.5mm double ended drill guide and a2.8mm dill bit are provided with a solid T15 screwdriver and small depth gauge.

Clavicle Plating System Surgical Convenience Kit

The sterile, single-use Clavicle Plating System Surgical Convenience Kits are designed to be used for universal fixation of clavicle bone fractures. Rounded plate with smooth edges lessens soft tissue irritation while a protruding boss design elevates the plate for reduced contact. Each superior mid shaft clavicle plate has 6-holes and a pre-contoured design for either the left or right side. Slots enable plate positioning and compression; threaded hole design accommodates locking screws.

Each kit has either a left or right clavicle plate and ten (10) low-profile, 3.5mm self-tapping, fully threaded, cortical screws available in 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 16mm, and 18mm lengths(2 of each size). In addition, a 2.8mm/3.5mm double ended drill guide and drill bit are provided with a solid T15 screwdriver and small depth gauge.
