What does Women’s History Month mean to you?
Women's History Month means to me, celebrating where we have come from as a nation, but also where we're going forward in the future. It means looking towards the things that we have yet to achieve while celebrating the milestones of the past. Women's History Month means celebrating all the great women, the great mothers, sisters, daughters and leaders of our country.
“Spartan Medical helps women build successful careers first and foremost by treating them like future leaders.”
Who's a historical woman that you look up to as a role model?
One of my personal role models has always been Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I'm also from New York. So, I find it really inspiring to see how a woman from Brooklyn can move to such a level of success and such a level of national recognition. In addition to her recognition, she has made unprecedented progress for women. She co-founded the Women's Rights Project of the ACLU, among many, many other achievements in her life. I look up to Ruth Bader Ginsburg, as a woman of success, strength, and most of all, femininity.
How does Spartan Medical help you progress professionally and personally?
Spartan Medical helps all employees, not necessarily just women. Spartan Medical provides employees with the opportunity to achieve skills that they never would have had in any other type of job. From an entry level worker to an executive. They have equal and common access to the entire C suite of employees. If someone in customer service has an issue or a mentorship opportunity, they can bring it straight to any one of the executives and the executives would be more than happy to help them with their case study or their analysis or the opportunity to grow.
How does Spartan Medical help women build successful careers?
Spartan Medical helps women build successful careers first and foremost by treating them like future leaders. The leadership mentality comes from a position of servant leadership. Servant leadership is exemplified in our board of directors and our C suite executives. Because every day they bring the mentality to work. They work for the people they manage, not the other way around. Being a servant leader truly comes through every day I work at Spartan Medical and Spartan Medical helps women build successful careers by empowering them from day one.
How do you think Spartan Medical compares to other companies on how it supports women?
I think Spartan Medical goes above and beyond not only to set the benchmark but set the standard for excellence when it comes to treating women. Women play unique roles in the lives of every single person on this planet. And their innate tenacity drives them to succeed and drives Spartan Medical to help them achieve these levels of success.
