Juan De La O

Clinical Director of Orthopedics and Extremities

Juan De La O is responsible for the strategic leadership, growth, and program development for orthopedics, pain services and programs across the market. Additionally, Juan works in collaboration with physicians and clinical leadership to establish and execute effective initiatives, plans and tactics for programs, physician integration and engagement, and resource utilization with the objective of increasing growth, quality, efficiency, physician satisfaction and patient experience. He is responsible for key operational departments across Spartan Medical Inc. as assigned, including therapy services, and ensuring effective physician clinic operations in orthopedics, sports medicine and pain.

Juan is a proud Gulf War Army Veteran who served as an Enlisted Medic, Operating Room Technologist. He then worked for 30 years in Orthopedic RECON, Oncology, Upper and Lower Extremity with industry firms like Dow Corning-Wright Medical, Tissuelink, HipXpert, MicroPort Orthopedics and Spartan Medical as a 1099 Account Manager.

Since arriving at Spartan Medical in 2020 as the Director of Orthopedics, Juan has specialized in supporting surgeons in the OR and selling RECON total joint hardware, navigation, biologics, and orthopedic devices. He is also responsible for training orthopedic junior sales representatives and managing many critical aspects of Spartan Medical’s business units.

During the pandemic when Spartan Medical was asked by the federal government to assist in the fight against COVID-19, Juan was assigned to the team of Spartans managing COVID-19 testing in K-12 public schools in six states. He helped organize a complex and demanding program that was one of the most successful endeavors in Spartan Medical’s history.
